Job Description
SUMMARY
This job is responsible for Level-2 support and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtual system support (VMware and Hyper-V) middleware and storage systems maintenance.
DESCRIPTION
• Performs tasks including, but not limited to incident/request ITSM queue management and operational support/analysis for the organizations information systems such as servers, virtual/cloud-based systems and storage devices.
• Supported systems include: Cisco UCS, Dell Vrtx, EMC VNX, Unity, Isilon, VMAX, IBM A9000R, NetApp AFF, VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012 and 2016, RHEL 6 and 7, Ansible / Ansible Tower, Satellite 6.x, vRealize Operations, SCCM, webservers (Apache) , application servers (WebSphere), message-oriented software (MQ), transaction/mediation processing software (IIB)
QUALIFICATIONS
• Perform ITSM system (Cherwell and Service Manager) incident and request ticket queue management.
• Perform operational including, but not limited to, Windows Server and Linux OS, virtual systems (VMware and Hyper-V), Storage Systems (NAS, SAN) and Middleware (Apache, WebSphere, MQ IIB).
• Perform analysis and resolve Level-2 problems to restore normal IT Infrastructure operational levels.
• Complete project tasks to enable the on time, within budget and scope delivery of IT Infrastructure projects.
• Assure compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines and processes.
• 1-3 years of experience in Information Technology.
