Job Description

• Paraprofessional assists instructor with daily activities. They might be asked to work one on one with students under the direction of the instructor. The focus of this program is employment and employability. It addresses the soft skills needed to be successfully and sustainably employed. Students engage in interactive group activities, work on the computer on job search skills and work to improve interview skills. There are many opportunities to work with different disabilities and the needs of a variety of skills.

• Attend program meetings, debriefs, and after program evaluations.
• Assist Instructor with all daily activities related to work readiness program.
• Participate in student assessments.
• Assist with evaluation of students based on developed rubrics.
• Represent company programs in a professional manner.
• Monitors health and safety procedures in the classroom.
• Supports the mission of company.
• Other as assigned by Instructor.

Demonstrated skills must include positive communication, ability to use computer software (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS), experience working with youth with disabilities, as well as flexibility, creativity, and a positive mindset.
