Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Oversee up to 4 students at a partner place of business for 4-hour shifts.
o Instruct students on workplace expectations, job tasks, safety, hygiene and proper workplace behaviors.
o Reinforce work readiness concepts such as but not limited to customer service, teamwork, initiative, leadership skills, self-advocacy, anti-bullying, following directions and responsibility.
o Monitor time cards for students.
o Monitor and report on student skills and any additional training needed to be successful.
o Participate in performance reviews and evaluations of student progress.
o Report to Bender Leadership Senior Program Specialist and CVS.
o Work closely with Bender Leadership Academy to plan and deliver program goals.
o Support the mission of Bender Leadership Academy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, education or related fields (or equivalent experience).
o 3 years of experience in disability services.
o Experience in work readiness, working with youth with disabilities job placement services/supports preferred.
o Positive communication, flexibility and positive mindset.
o Ability to use computer software (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and TEAMS).
