The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and healthcare providers to support patients and families through clinical care, patient preparation, documentation, and coordination of services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and clinical providers
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, procedures, and testing
• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses during examinations and procedures
• Collect patient assessment information and accurately document clinical information in the medical record
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes or concerns to the appropriate clinical staff
• Administer medications and assist with basic clinical and nursing procedures as permitted within scope of practice
• Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens as needed
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, scheduling, referrals, and authorizations under nursing supervision
• Review and organize diagnostic testing information for provider review
• Prepare equipment and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety, infection prevention, and compliance guidelines
• Support patients and families with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication
• Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license OR multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance

Preferred
• 1+ year of healthcare or clinical experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• PALS or ACLS certification
• State-approved IV certification/course completion
