Job Description
Seeking an experienced Epic Systems Analyst to support, optimize, maintain, and enhance Epic applications across a growing healthcare environment. This role is heavily focused on system configuration, application support, workflow optimization, upgrades, maintenance, and integration activities related to newly acquired healthcare entities and services. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on Epic build, configuration, and operational support experience within one or more Epic modules and be comfortable working directly within complex healthcare system environments. This role partners closely with operational leaders, clinical teams, technical teams, and stakeholders to support scalable, standardized workflows and long-term system performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Configure, maintain, optimize, test, implement, and support Epic applications and related system functionality
• Perform system analysis, workflow analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and application design activities
• Support ongoing system maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives across existing Epic environments
• Participate in integration efforts for newly acquired healthcare practices, facilities, and operational workflows
• Analyze operational and clinical workflows to identify opportunities for system improvements, standardization, and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve routine to moderately complex application and workflow issues through root cause analysis
• Collaborate with operational leaders, clinical teams, technical teams, and vendors to support business and patient care objectives
• Coordinate testing activities related to upgrades, enhancements, new functionality, and integrated systems
• Maintain system documentation, change documentation, workflows, and support materials
• Provide advanced application support and guidance to end-users and operational stakeholders
• Independently manage small to medium-sized projects and support larger enterprise initiatives
• Stay current with Epic functionality, healthcare technology trends, and application best practices
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Epic application build, configuration, maintenance, and support experience within one or more Epic modules
• Epic Application Certification required
• Experience supporting operational healthcare workflows and system optimization initiatives
• Experience with system upgrades, maintenance cycles, testing, and issue resolution
• Experience participating in healthcare system integrations, implementations, or operational expansion initiatives preferred
• Strong knowledge of Epic system configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and support processes
• Ability to independently perform analysis, workflow evaluation, system configuration, testing, and issue resolution
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and integrated healthcare systems
• Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, operational, and technical teams
• Knowledge of project management principles related to healthcare technology initiatives
