Job Description
The Associate Healthcare Risk Analyst supports data-driven decision making through analysis of healthcare, risk, financial, and operational data. This role assists with risk assessment, forecasting, trend analysis, reporting, and analytical modeling to help evaluate business performance, identify emerging risks, and support strategic initiatives.

The Associate Healthcare Risk Analyst will work closely with experienced analysts and business leaders to develop insights that support organizational goals and risk management strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze healthcare, financial, claims, membership, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and business insights.
• Assist with risk assessment, forecasting, and analytical modeling activities.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and business stakeholders.
• Support evaluation of healthcare utilization, costs, revenue, performance metrics, and risk indicators.
• Perform data validation and quality reviews to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting.
• Research and analyze business questions, providing recommendations based on findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic, operational, and risk management initiatives.
• Utilize Excel, databases, and analytical tools to organize, interpret, and present data.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, analytical findings, and risk assessments.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
• Internship or academic experience involving statistical analysis, forecasting, risk assessment, modeling, or data analytics.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, SAS, or other analytical tools.
• Knowledge of healthcare, insurance, finance, or risk management concepts.
• Experience interpreting and presenting data to non-technical audiences.
