Job Description
OVERVIEW:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the healthcare organization in a hospital setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care.
• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders.
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication.
• Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care.
• Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current State of PA RN licensure or Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Prior experience as a Nurse or in a healthcare setting (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
