Job Description
OVERVIEW:
Collaborates with Executive Leadership to define, plan, and deliver programs that require cross-functional coordination and management of several business leaders within the health system. Programs, projects, or related activities may be interdependent and should be developed within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget. Helps direct and delegate the efforts of a group of employees and contractors that serve on the program to deliver results for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborates with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define program strategy and approach.
• Organizes, plans, and maintains a program roadmap consisting of multiple interrelated projects and activities.
• Coordinates with business and technical teams to assemble appropriate project teams based on program needs.
• Partners with executive sponsors and business owners to drive program objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Develops a clear understanding of business objectives and operational priorities for assigned areas.
• Monitors and reports on program performance, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Cultivates and maintains strong, positive relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Prepares and delivers project status updates and presentations to leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Gathers, analyzes, and compiles data for reporting purposes; collaborates with leaders across the organization to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience managing projects or programs in a healthcare, hospital, or health system environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
Preferred:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience working with both business and technical teams in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, policies, or operational frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, value-based care, etc.).
• Experience presenting to or working directly with executive leadership.
