Job Description
Seeking a Worksite Trainer/Job Coach to assist with integration of high school students with disabilities into the workplace. Applicant must have experience in disability services and the ability to work on-site with the students.
DESCRIPTION:
• Oversee up to 4 students at a partner place of business for 4 hour shifts
• Instruct students on workplace expectations, job tasks, safety, hygiene, and proper workplace behaviors
• Reinforce work readiness concepts such as but not limited to customer service, teamwork, initiative, leadership skills, self-advocacy, anti-bullying, following directions and responsibility
• Monitor timecards for students
• Monitor and report on student skills and any additional training needed to be successful
• Participate in performance reviews and evaluations of student progress
• Report to Bender Leadership Academy Senior Program Specialist and location manager
• Work closely with Bender Leadership Academy to plan and deliver program
• Support the mission of Bender Leadership Academy
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social services, education or related fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in disability services
• Experience in work readiness, working with youth with disabilities job placement services/supports preferred
• Positive communication, flexibility, and positive mindset
• Ability to use computer software (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS)
• Able to pass all clearances required
