Job Description
The Energy or Power Capacity Planning Engineer focuses on forecasting future energy demand and developing strategies to support long-term power needs for large-scale infrastructure. This role is increasingly important for organizations operating AI computing environments and large data center campuses with rapidly increasing power requirements.
The engineer works with infrastructure, engineering, and energy partners to ensure adequate power supply is available for future growth.
Responsibilities
• Forecast facility power requirements
• Evaluate power supply availability and grid capacity
• Support energy sourcing strategies
• Coordinate with utilities and energy providers
• Analyze infrastructure expansion needs
• Develop long-term energy planning models
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field
• Experience with power planning, energy systems, or grid infrastructure
• Knowledge of utility systems and energy markets preferred
• Strong analytical and modeling skills
• Experience working with large infrastructure projects a plus
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance preferred; active clearance is a plus
