RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet and assist patients with scheduling appointments, completing preregistration, and verifying basic demographic and insurance information.
• Use provided tools and resources to check insurance benefits, confirm authorization needs, and gather limited clinical details related to scheduled services.
• Accurately update patient records to ensure timely billing and smooth coordination of care.
• Communicate with insurance companies, physician offices, and internal departments to clarify insurance requirements, authorizations, and any missing information.
• Discuss patient financial responsibilities, provide cost estimates using established guidelines, and collect payments when appropriate.
• Identify accounts that may need additional financial review and route them to the Financial Counseling team.
• Help create a positive patient experience by offering friendly, professional support and maintaining strong working relationships across the organization.
• Handle daily paperwork, documentation, and system entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Meet productivity standards and contribute ideas for improving workflows and patient service.
• Follow organizational policies and complete all required training and education sessions on time.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in customer service, healthcare, financial services, retail, or a similar field is helpful but not required.
• Comfortable learning computer systems and using common software programs.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn healthcare processes.
