Job Description
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering complex IT projects within the healthcare field. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale IT projects within the healthcare industry, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of complex initiatives. A key responsibility will be managing and reporting on project budgets, ensuring financial oversight and accountability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage large-scale IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical, and administrative departments, to align project goals and deliverables.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, including tracking expenditures, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and status.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to avoid delays or issues.
• Prepare regular status updates and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members.
• Monitor project progress and performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale project management in the healthcare industry or large-scale IT projects.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in a complex environment.
• Strong expertise in project budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management.
• Experience in legacy and emerging technologies, application architecture and database technologies, system design and implementation.
• Experience in issue/study definition, project and methodology design.
• Experience in statistical modeling and simulation and data interpretation.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred.
