Job Description

Seeking a nonprofit finance manager to oversee day to day finance operations and grant reporting in a nonprofit organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Financial Transactions: Record daily transactions, including donations, grants, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and working with independent accounting consultants.
• Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, budget variance reports, and other necessary financial documents for review by management and the Board of Directors.
• Payroll Processing: Research and set up payroll processing, ensuring accurate recording of salaries, benefits, and tax withholdings.
• Budgeting Assistance: Work with the team to assist in the preparation and tracking of budgets for various projects and programs.
• Audit Support: Assist with preparation for annual audit and ensure that all financial documentation is organized and accessible.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations and assist with tax reporting requirements, including 990 filings.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and supporting documents, ensuring all files are updated and accessible.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven financial experience in a nonprofit setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of financial records.
• Familiarity with grant accounting and financial reporting for nonprofits.
• Experience with donor management software is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
