OVERVIEW:
Provide essential support to the nursing staff and ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. Assist in daily activities, monitor patient vital signs, and offer compassionate care to individuals who require medical attention.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen levels).
• Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them from bed to chair, or aiding with walking.
• Provide patient monitoring, noting changes in patient behavior, and reporting findings to the nurse.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring rooms are tidy and equipment is sanitized.
• Support nursing staff in carrying out treatments, procedures, and patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families, offering comfort and assistance as needed.
• Document patient interactions and progress accurately in the medical record system.
• Respond promptly to patient calls and requests, assisting with basic needs.
• Assist in setting up medical equipment or supplies for procedures and treatments.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR certification
• Prior experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a healthcare setting (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
